In 1991, Karen became a booth announcer for WLVI-TV56 in Boston, a major coup, since quite a few voiceovers had auditioned for the job. After a few years of working in Boston television and radio, Karen decided to head out on her own. In 1994 Karen became a full time, freelance voiceover talent, and in the years since, has seen her business grow dramatically. Producers particularly like her low error rate and her ability to cold read even the most technical copy. Karen has a state-of-the-art digital ISDN studio and can offer audio saved on DAT, CD, sent via e-mail (MP3) and FTP. Her ISDN line and Musicam RoadRunner audio codec allow her to work in real time for live, remote sessions around the world.
